Oliver was enjoying a peaceful day by the shore when a sudden sharp pain shot through his foot. Looking down, he saw that he had stepped on a peculiar-looking stone. At first, it seemed like just another rock, but upon closer inspection, it had an unusual shine that set it apart.

As Oliver tried to walk, the pain in his foot made it difficult to move without limping. A nearby lifeguard noticed his discomfort and approached him with concern. Oliver hesitated for a moment, debating whether he should reveal the mysterious stone. Oliver made his way to Mark’s jewelry shop, a place he had visited before. He was relieved to find the store empty, allowing him to discuss the stone privately. As Oliver recounted his story, Mark remained skeptical, assuming the rock was nothing more than an interesting souvenir.
However, when Oliver handed over the stone, its light faded again, causing Mark to take a closer look. After a moment of contemplation, he requested a full day to verify its authenticity. Oliver hesitated but eventually agreed, trusting the jeweler’s expertise.

That night, Oliver couldn’t sleep. His mind was consumed with thoughts of the mysterious stone. Was it truly worth a fortune? Was he about to become rich overnight?
As he finally dozed off, he suddenly woke up in a panic, drenched in sweat. A deep, unsettling feeling crept over him—something was not right.

A strange man in the store had been watching Oliver the entire time. Before Oliver could react, he felt a sharp pain—he had been ambushed.

When Oliver regained consciousness, he was surrounded by federal agents. To his utter shock, the FBI had raided the jewelry store, placing him under arrest.
During his interrogation, the truth about the stone was finally revealed. It had been stolen during a massive diamond heist the previous week. The criminals had attempted to smuggle the stolen gems by disguising them, but some were lost along the shore, where Oliver had found his.

Oliver explained how he had come across the stone. Authorities investigated the beach and confirmed his story. The lifeguard, who had originally seen the stone, provided a statement that supported his claims.
With this evidence, Oliver was cleared of any wrongdoing. The real criminals were eventually caught, thanks to his discovery. The stolen gems were recovered, and Oliver was free.
