Strange Snake in a Couple’s Yard Changes Their Lives Forever

One day, a couple was spending time together in their yard when suddenly a strange snake appeared, changing their lives forever.

A Normal Day Turns Disturbing

John and Liz – last name withheld – were nothing more than a happily married couple relaxing in their yard when things took a disturbing turn. While John was reading a book, he heard Liz – who’d been working in the garden – shriek in a mix of pain and terror. Rushing to her aid as a good spouse would, he discovered a scene that shocked him to his core.

Unidentified Creature

As John rushed to Liz, he saw her recoiling in fear from what initially appeared to be a small garden snake. However, when he looked closer, John thought he saw two small arms coming from the creature’s body. John couldn’t help himself and picked up the creature to examine it in curiosity; however, as he looked it over, the animal locked onto his arm with a bite.

Pain!

John recoiled in pain and dropped the snake. Despite the creature’s small size, the bite on his arm was large, and he began bleeding profusely. Liz ran inside and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around the bite in an attempt to curb the bleeding. However, it continued unabated, leaving the two in fear. They struggled to figure out their next move.

Race to the Hospital

Since his wound wouldn’t stop bleeding, John and Liz decided they needed to get him to the emergency room. However, first, they decided they needed to capture the strange snake. However, they struggled to do so as it seemed to move quickly around the yard. Eventually, they would trap the creature in a shoebox, and they took off to the hospital.

Emergency Room

While John and Liz got to the hospital relatively promptly, the news there wasn’t what they hoped for. The doctors were able to treat John’s bite wound, but they couldn’t explain why the bite had bled so much nor what the creature itself actually was. After his treatment was complete, John and Liz decided to take the “snake” to a vet, hoping to get some answers. The reaction at that office would shock them.

The Mystery Deepens

While John and Liz arrived at the vet’s office looking for answers, they were instead greeted by more questions. The team at the office had no explanation for what the creature was. In fact, the attending vet wouldn’t even confidently identify the creature as a snake. Suffice it to say, that didn’t precisely make John or Liz comfortable, considering the gaping wound on his arm.

Things Get Worse

Initially, John thought that his anxiety about the bite was starting to affect him at the vet’s office physically. However, as he began to feel clammy and cold, he realized there was a bigger problem. The vet looked at the bite and saw a dark circle forming around John’s bite wound. This shocked the vet, who quickly entered the office’s storage room and pulled out a locked medical box that appeared to be very old.

Antidote

The vet ripped open the box and pulled out an antidote. After explaining that it was a rare antidote, he told John and Liz “We have to inject this directly into the bite… immediately.” The vet’s insistent tone told the couple that things were getting even more severe and fast.

John’s Doubts

Initially, John was a bit hesitant to have the antidote injected directly into the bite, fearing that it would cause an intense amount of pain. However, the vet’s intense pushing of the antidote, combined with Liz’s encouragement, led to him agreeing to the injection, albeit somewhat pessimistically.
